What Does this Microscopic Examination result Mean?
My wife is pregnant her microscopic examination result is. Pus cells. : 0-2/hpf , Epithelial cells : + /hpf , Yeast cells :present. Trichomonas vaginails : not seen. Report : Moderatr growth of Candida albicans isolated
Hi, Welcome to HCM. It means that your wife's urine or genital discharge was subjected to examination under microscope. Most probably it referred to genital discharge as Trichomonas and candida was looked into. The findings indicated as it contains 0-2 pus cell/HPF. Epithelial cells were seen. There was no Trichomonas identified. Possibly from a culture for fungus candida albicans were grown. She needs to be treated for Candida Albicans infection (yeast infection). DR S.Murugan
